The JeTrix
At the dawn of the new Millennium, the “old” CRT television is replaced
by the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). During the years, both display and
printing technologies have developed in similar directions and, instead of
one ejector, multiple ejectors were developed. In the display technology,
2D fully array matrix LCD with enormous number of segments was obtained,
while in the printing technology, a drop-on-demand (DOD) method based on
several nozzles was developed. During the years the numbers of nozzles
slowly increased from very few to several hundreds and up to few
thousands, in the modern state of the art heads. This difference caused
the image construction-time in DOD to be incomparably slower than of the
LCD. Is this a necessity?
A changeover in the print world can be achieved by using the 2D full array
matrix principle within inkjet printer, as in the LCD.
That is, our invention - the JeTrix.
